Replace your old cell with new while taking to cell phone recycling
Change is fun. It lifts our spirits, builds our confidence and sometimes makes us safer. The biggest drawback is that change is also very expensive, especially when you throw away your old stuff and buy new to replace it.
There are environmental and spiritual implications of consumerism. The choices we make often affect the poor in other parts of the world … just so we can buy a bunch of stuff that, most of the time, we don’t even need. There was an anecdote in “Living More with Less” about how visitors from Indonesia went to a church picnic, wondering what they were supposed to do with their disposable plates, just to be shocked that you’d use a plate once, then throw it away.
Every item we buy has a finite period of time in its usable lifespan, and there comes a time when you must part with it when you can no longer find a buyer who would desire to have it. They clutter up our homes and can even make us feel guilty. The best thing to do, for both your mental health and your net worth, is to let them go. That is where recycling comes in. Instead of throwing away your old stuff, try selling it. Instead of buying new stuff, try buying things that are gently used. Either way will result in having more spendable income.
Buying something old or used, fixing it, and selling it is the heart of recycling. Making something useful from a broken discarded object is not only profitable, but it is an extremely worthwhile thing to do. Most items can be sold, donated, recycled, or trashed. There are dozens of things that have a high resale value and are the major recyclers. Sewing machines, typewriters, cameras, televisions, bicycles and tools are great things to recycle.
Most of us already have a stockpile of old electronics we don’t know what to do with. Luckily, it’s easier and easier to responsibly get rid of old gadgets as cell phones. Cell phone recycling is always a good idea but you should always do your research before you sign on with a mobile phone recycler. Be wary of companies that offer extremely high prices for your discarded phone, and if you get bad vibes from a recycler, look for another one. There are plenty of legitimate mobile phone and e-waste recyclers around US so you should take a chance and find the one legitimate company who could just sell old cell for cash. Doing so may even help the environment — and might even add a few dollars to your wallet. You do not have to resort to abandoning your cell phone in some landfills.
